Bill McLean
Chief Executive Officer

Bill McLean joined Ozmo in early 2010. Most recently, Bill was co-founder and CEO of GloNav, a fabless semiconductor company that manufactured GPS receivers for the cellular market. Bill successfully sold the company to NXP in January of 2008 for $110M where it ultimately became part of ST Ericsson's wireless group. Prior to GloNav, Bill was President and CEO of Anadigm, a fabless semiconductor company producing field programmable analog arrays (FPAAs).

Before joining Anadigm, he served as President, U.S. Operations of Parthus Technologies which dual listed on the London Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. He joined Parthus from Authentec, a biometrics firm that he assisted in spinning out from Harris Corporation, where he was Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. At Harris Semiconductor, he served as Vice President and General Manager where he assisted in their launch of Wi-Fi products. He began his career at Texas Instruments where he held various management positions.

Bill holds a BSEE from Christian Brothers University, Memphis, Tennesse.


Katelijn Vleugels
Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Vleugels co-founded H-Stream Wireless, now Ozmo Devices, in 2004. She has over 10 years of experience in analog, mixed-signal and high-frequency RF integrated circuit design. Before co-founding the company, Dr. Vleugels held engineering positions at Atheros Communications, where she designed analog and RF circuits for wireless LAN chipsets. In this role, she was a key contributor to the industry's first single-chip 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN solution. Prior to her tenure at Atheros, Dr. Vleugels was one of the first employees at Aeluros (acquired by NetLogic Microsystems), a provider of high-integration low-power CMOS-based broadband communication chips, where she was pivotal in the successful development of the industry's first low-power 10 Gigabit CMOS transceiver chip.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Vleugels held design engineering positions with Texas Instruments and CERN (European Center for Particle Physics).

Dr. Vleugels received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University for her work on high-bandwidth, high-resolution CMOS A/D converter design. She also holds an MSEE from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, and an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. In 2002, she was appointed Consulting Assistant Professor at Stanford University. Dr. Vleugels has co-authored numerous technical publications and has over 10 patents pending.


Eric Zimits
Managing Director, Granite Ventures

After spending a long career in finance and investments with a focus on the communications sector, Eric Zimits joined Granite Ventures in 2000 to focus on investing in early-stage communications and components companies. Prior to Granite, Eric was Managing Director and head of the Communications Research Group at Hambrecht & Quist (later Chase H&Q), where he sponsored several venture capital investments, including: Amber Networks, acquired by Nokia; InterNAP (NASDAQ: INAP); Paragon Software, acquired by Openwave; WavTrace, acquired by Harris Corporation; and VocalData, acquired by Tekelec.

Prior to H&Q, Eric launched a research effort in the telecommunications and wireless industries as a General Partner at Volpe, Welty & Company. He also held analyst positions at Rauscher Pierce Refsnes and Morgan Keegan & Company. Eric's years of experience tracking the communications industry teamed with his financial savvy enables him to guide portfolio companies in making sound business decisions based on a deep understanding of the marketplace. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for AirTight Networks, CBF Networks, Encore Career Institute, Ozmo Devices, Pelican Imaging, Quantance, and RGB Networks.

Eric received a B.S.E. from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business.


Brian Long
Partner, Atlantic Bridge Ventures

Brian Long has over 25 years' operating experience in the technology industry, working in both the U.S. and European markets. Brian founded Parthus Technologies plc (now CEVA Inc.) in 1993 and served as its CEO for nine years. In 2002, Brian led the company through the successful $150 million Initial Public Offering of the company on both the LSE and NASDAQ stock markets. During his time at Parthus he managed the company through multiple realization events, five acquisitions and the successful $350 million secondary stock market offering in November 2000. He also completed the successful merger of the company with DSP Group to form CEVA Inc., the leading licensor of DSP technology in the industry. Brian has an extensive industry network of entrepreneurs and investors, across Europe and the U.S. with whom he has worked for almost 25 years.

In 2000 Brian was awarded Irish Technology Entrepreneur of the year. Brian is the named inventor on a number of U.S. and European IC patents. Brian was Chairman of GloNav, and is a Director on the boards of Acision, Firecomms and Nanotech Semiconductors. He holds a BS and MS degree in Electronic Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
